The second round of our

exhibition "Radiation" is going to start.

 

You have the opportunity to meet members of the "Freischerler" and "Schnipsi" groups,
some of the artists and their interesting work from

September, 18 to 21 in

Lièpvre, Val d´Argent, France,
on the occasion of the

20th European Patchworkmeeting.

Additionally, there will be an interesting presentation too,
on Friday, September 19 at 3.30 pm:
the president of IRPA 2014 congress in Geneva will present  the quilts seen through the eyes of an expert in radiation,
just the other way round as they were created,
radiation through the eyes of quilters.

 

 

 

First stop: Geneva, Swizzerland

The Quilt Exhibition in Geneva was a great success! 640 visitors from 48 countries were at the Radiation Protection Congress and were deeply impressed by the wide range of topics and the artistic quality of the 81 pieces in the show. We also enjoyed the positive feedback we received from visitors from the Geneva area who were not part of the conference.

The development of the Exhibition has been supported by the Helena Hibbs Endowment Fund of the Quilters Guild of Dallas.

Exhibition „Radiation-Strahlung“
In the context of the 4th European IRPA-congress
June 21-27, 2014 in Geneva

A one-of-a-kind invitational exhibition of textile art initiated by the German-Swiss Association for Radiation Protection  is building bridges between science and art.

The German Quilt Groups “Schnipsis” and “Freischerler”, as long as quilters from several countries took the topic "radiation" as inspiration for art works from various perspectives. 80 Quilts and textile objects will be on display at the congress center in Geneva. Topics range from 'big bang' to 'CERN' with many variations inbetween.
